HFEA
We were informed that the law changes on screening in fertility treatment were debated in the House of Commons and House of Lords on Tuesday, 22 October.
HFEA welcomes changes to the law on screening in fertility treatment.
These changes mean that:
Enhanced screening is no longer necessary for couples having reciprocal IVF.
People who have HIV with an undetectable viral load can donate to known recipients under the new law change.
A statement from the HFEA Chair, Julia Chain, is published here.
Egg Donation
Due to the subject of egg donation gaining traction online, the HFEA has pulled together a fact sheet with more information for you. For the intended parents using and/or needing egg donors, we find that this resource provides a lot of up-to-date information on the matter.
Success Story!
**Trigger Warning**
We're thrilled to welcome this baby boy to the world! He was in such a hurry that he arrived while their amazing surrogate was at home in the bath.💙.
A massive well done to their hero of a surrogate, who was a total star throughout the entire journey, and congratulations to the most lovely couple. It’s been a real privilege watching and being a part of your journey and the amazing bond you have all formed.
Posted with permission to give hope and to show the magical side of surrogacy.
This success story was also a wonderful way to
celebrate Nappy Endings'
S E V E N year
anniversary (October 10, 2017).
PR
Our PR campaign, originally scheduled for release this fall, encountered a slight delay due to the unexpected diagnosis Rachel had. However, after careful re-evaluation with our PR team, we’re excited to announce that the campaign will roll out in February and March when Rachel's radiotherapy is completed. This strategic timing will allow us to maximize visibility with more interviews and media coverage, creating a powerful opportunity to raise awareness and connect with potential surrogates. Stay tuned for what’s to come!
